SAC show explores our inner thoughts

SOCIAL & LIFESTYLE

SAC Gallery invites us to witness artworks that remind us to take care of our thoughts and feelings towards the stimuli around us during "Art Cart 04: Handle With Care", which is running until Oct 30.

On display are a selection of 45 art pieces by 11 artists, which have been interpreted as reflecting the subtleties within the mind that must be taken into consideration and dealt with carefully.

The curated presentation is in response to the current situation where the pandemic confines people so severely that the vast world is reduced to a rectangular screen in the palm of your hand. It is a time when conflicts between different ideologies arise, people's beliefs are shaken, old faiths are overthrown and all these things lead to emotional instability.

The artwork of Huang Xiaoliang, Supasit Thammaprasert and Suntur reflects our state of mind -- be it despair, confusion, longing or slipping into the sweet contemplation of our childhood's summertime.

Kittaya Poolsawatdi, Attasit Pokpong and Chayanin Kwangkaew have chosen to combine their imagination and reality to present a female image in their own ways. Viewers are invited to look for meanings from her eye which shows her strength, gentleness, volatility and stability. Each woman looks different in each painting but all of them gracefully maintain their unique selves.

The collection also includes abstract works by Kitikong Tilokwattanotai and Jeon Gi-Ok who took inspiration from the bonds between parents and children, solid glass sculptures by Vipoo Srivilasa, fibreglass sculptures with vibrant acrylic paint by Ploy Kasom, and an installation of ceramic work by Sumanatsya Voharn.

SAC Gallery is on Sukhumvit 33 and opens Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm. Appointments should be made in advance.

Call 092-662-6165 and 084-695-6592.
