Spotify recently revealed its annual 2021 Wrapped campaign, unveiling the top artists, albums, songs, playlists and podcasts from the creators that helped soundtrack the year for more than 381 million users worldwide. As part of this campaign, Spotify is breaking down how Thailand and the rest of the world listened to and discovered K-Pop, including the artists, albums and songs that defined this globally growing genre.

If 2020 saw BTS become bona fide global stars, 2021 was the year they became a global supernova. With more than 7 billion streams in 2021, the group is this year's top K-Pop artist and also the third overall most-streamed artist in the world, coming in after Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift.

Blackpink, IU, Lisa and NCT Dream round out this year's top K-Pop artists in Thailand, with Blackpink's The Album taking the No.1 spot as Thailand's Most Streamed K-Pop Album.

Homegrown Lisa from K-Pop girl group Blackpink made Thailand proud in her debut as a solo artist, with her hit singles Money and Lalisa placing first and second in Thailand's Most Streamed K-Pop Tracks list. Fellow Blackpink member Rosé also shined on her solo debut, with her songs On The Ground and Gone closely following in fourth and fifth place.

As K-dramas continue to gain popularity worldwide, SpotifyWrapped 2021 reveals the top global K-Pop OST tracks with Sweet Night by V from the soundtrack of Itaewon Class topping the list for the second year running. Jin and V's track It's Definitely You from Hwarang, Pt.2 is the second-most streamed Korean official soundtrack while I'm Missing You by Sunjae from the soundtrack of True Beauty rounds out the top three.
