MasterClass Studio on Lat Phrao 25 is holding a three-month acting course titled "Fundamentals Of Acting", designed for teens between 13 and 17, starting Jan 29. It runs every Saturday from 2pm to 5pm.
The course focuses on understanding the basics of acting through exploration, explanation and expression where students will learn about the tools necesssary to become professional actors.
Before exploring different types of acting, they will study the essence of being human and understand what it means to be human. They will explore their own nature and that of other students in order to get a deeper understanding of human nature.
Studying acting means studying human nature. The same is true for all theatre practitioners. As actors, the students need to have a deep understanding of what theatre is giving to life and what theatre is giving to the audience.
They need to understand what the message and the theme of theatre is. In addition to that, they need to communicate this with the audience by being the character they are playing.

The course will be conducted by Robin Schroeter who has a master's degree in directing from Chulalongkorn University and has been working as an actor, acting coach and director in Thailand for more than 10 years.
The fee is 8,000 baht per month (four classes) and 21,000 baht for three months (12 classes) for early birds who make payment before Jan 15. After that, the fee will be 10,000 baht per month.
