Bangkok Community Theatre will return onstage with a delightful production that will make the last weekend of the month memorable for the young and young at heart.

The interactive children's play The Emperor's New Clothes will be performed in English twice daily at 1.30pm and 4pm on Jan 29 and 30. The venue is Baan Rim Naam, a breezy, open-air restaurant down by the river in the Chinese community of Talat Noi.

Based on a Danish literary folktale that has been translated into over 100 languages, the BCT's inventive version of a vain emperor who gets exposed before his subjects will feature a multinational ensemble cast of five members, plus a musician.

With magic and mime, mischief and mayhem, this unique type of live theatre is designed for children four to nine but parents will also enjoy the show which stimulates the imagination and involves the audience in the action throughout.

Tickets cost 270 baht including pre-show craft and a small snack and can be purchased from ticketmelon.com/bangkokcommunitytheatre/emperor.
