For its 2022 pre-spring collection Disaya Sorakraikitikul drew inspiration from Japan's art of floral arrangement, which requires concentration and mindfulness.

In contrast, the creative director recalls the action-packed Old West for Disaya's Arizona Rodeo collection.

Before becoming the Grand Canyon State, the territory was home to the most feared outlaws and today Arizona's preserved towns and sites continue to tell the Old West story.

Picturing cowboys and cowgirls, riding horses in the desert, she designed the ready-to-wear for the elegant modern women, and focussed on facilitating movements through the silhouette and fabrics.

Cowboy shirts and vests, bandana scarves, belts and pistol pockets have been reinterpreted in the designs. For example, bandanas feature floral patterns with roses, daisies and sunflowers while the paisley motif appears on pastel-tone cropped blouses, skirts, pants and dresses.

The authentic cowboy style is mixed with embroidery, 3D pattern crochet and knitting techniques unique to the Thai fashion house.
