Besides being one of the best Sunday brunch spots in Bangkok, Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok’s Stock.Room offers fun and engaging cooking lessons at its Studio.Maa-Lai.

Each session is an intimate setting for 10-12 people so you will have all the attention you need from the instructor. Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok’s chefs, as well as guest chefs, will be working on exclusive recipes so guests can learn fundamental culinary techniques and tips on ingredient choosing, colour coordination, plating, as well as garnishing so they can turn their home kitchen into a culinary atelier.

On June 18, chef Natnicha “Ploy” Boonlerd, the second runner-up of Masterchef Thailand Season I, will teach you how to plate dishes, befitting her run on the show as the plater and most creative contestant of the season. Even, judge chef Ian Kittichai said so. She will also be sharing tried-and-tested techniques that shaped her career as she guides you through a two-hour interactive session from 11am-1pm.

After putting on an apron, participants will get to arrange a three-course lunch that they can feast on with their eyes and palates. Chef Ploy will give you a short demonstration before you plate each course but you can freely unleash your creativity. Her team will be on standby to make suggestions so you don’t have to worry that you may get carried away. The highly Instagrammable lunch comprises refreshing Mango and prawn salad, Sous-vided salmon miso and Deconstruct strawberry cheese mousse.

Seats are limited and the class is priced at B3,888 net per person. Advanced reservation is required. KTC credit card members enjoy an exclusive 10% discount. Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok is on Soi Tonson. Call 02-056-9999 or email stockroom.kimptonmaalai@ihg.com.
