There are only two days left for gamers to register for the upcoming 2022 edition of "Michelin Asia Cup Powered By Gran Turismo".
The registration is open until tomorrow.
The tyre-making company, Michelin, invites contestants from Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand to enrol for the opportunity to battle in the annual online e-racing championship, held live on Aug 4 and 26.
The grand prize winner will get to enjoy an all-expense paid trip to the Michelin Passion Experience 2022 at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
This once-in-a-lifetime experience allows guests a full immersion into the Michelin world of motorsport while discovering star-studded gastronomy. Highlights of the events include exclusive rides on a range of unique custom vehicles and racing cars, all under close supervision and coaching of professional driving instructors and professional race car drivers.
The first runner-up is entitled to a full set of tyres worth 30,000 baht; while the second runner-up will get a fuel card worth 15,000 baht.
The e-racing competition will use the highly realistic Gran Turismo on PlayStation 4 in Sport mode.
All registered gamers are required to submit their best time to the qualifying round from July 9-15.
For Thailand, six contestants with the best lap time will be announced on July 20 to represent the country in the semi-finals, racing against the top six from three other participating nations.
A total of 24 gamers will be divided in two groups, each of which will consist of 12 gamers. The six fastest gamers of each group will proceed to the final round, which will be broadcast on Michelin's official Facebook account as well as partnering social media channels on Aug 26 from 7pm onwards.
The top three winners will be officially announced on Aug 30.
The eligible Grand Prize Winner must have a driving licence or a race licence, valid at least until Sept 9.
