Illustration fair returns for another edition

After its successful debut last year, the Bangkok Illustration Fair returns to please illustrators and art lovers with a myriad of creative works, from Thursday to Sunday daily from 10am to 8pm.

It will take place on the 1st floor, 3rd floor and at the Main Hall on the 9th floor of Bangkok Art Cultural Centre, Pathumwan intersection. An online archive is also available at bangkokillustrationfair.com.

Held in collaboration with happening, Decembell and What If with the aim to promote illustrations, the event will be packed with activities including an art exhibition, art sales, workshops, seminars and other activities related to illustration.

This year will see illustrations by a selection of 150 artists and 18 guest artists from across the country, as well as Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Pakistan, Germany and the Philippines.

Visitors are invited to join mini-talks and discussions that will take place everyday to provide ideas and perspectives on illustration as a career.

The event provides opportunities for artists to work in the field of Illustration and exclusive matchings will be arranged for sponsors and artists to make sure that each side finds the right match.

Prior to the fair, a jury of reviewers and artists will gather to select artists to receive a Reward. Art lovers are also invited to vote for their favourite artists online. Winners of the Reward and the Popular Vote will be announced on Sunday at 5pm.

Tickets cost 200 baht for unlimited visits, plus a postcard set (limited to 500 sets only) while one-day pass costs 100 baht (free for children). They can be purchased from go.eventpop.me/bkkif2022.
