Asava Group founder Polpat Asavaprapha doesn't name his ready-to-wear collections but injects conceptual mindscapes into each of them.
The Asava autumn/winter 2022 collection calls for "time to focus on what matters" and "focus" is the word of the season for a little contemplation.
In 2008, Asava initially focused on the reinterpretation of classic styles for modern women, who can use clothing as a platform to express their individuality, desire and strength.
The brand identity is expressed through a combination of masculinity and femininity through the new collection's pantsuit, tuxedo column dress and shirtdress.
Other signatures such as one-shoulder and off-shoulder pieces as well as cape blouses also reappear on the runway at Parc Paragon.
Two-tone patchwork creates an illusion that enhances body shape. The designs also feature double pleated, one-shoulder and half drapings and for the first time, O-ring cutout for the details.
Voluminous sleeves and skirts contribute to a graceful look while enhancing dimension. Striped patchwork, colour block techniques and gradient colour techniques also add dimension, while contrast stitching and burn-out printing bring out the details and fabric textures.
Satin, wool and tweed are used for luxurious pieces while cotton, blended cotton, denim and jersey give a casual look.
Classic colours like white, grey, black, beige and navy are joined by pastels, lavender, and vibrant baby blue, to widen the spectrum in Asava's autumn wardrobe.
