Sweet Tweety lands in Paragon

Born on Nov 21, 1942, Looney Tunes favourite Tweety became an octogenarian last month.

Fashion house MCM loves the little yellow canary and has collaborated with Warner Bros Discovery Global Consumer Products for an 80th anniversary collection.

Until Jan 4 at Siam Paragon's Fashion Gallery, its pop-up store pays tribute to the character famous for the line "I tawt I taw a puddy tat!", but Sylvester the cat isn't sneaking around the retail space decked with images of Tweety and his iconic birdcage. Customers can engage with augmented reality effects, adding to the immersive experience with sharable social moments.

The Looney Tunes x MCM collaboration comprises 20 original pieces, from accessories to ready-to-wear.

The cheerful Tweety centres the Rockstar Vanity Case and Dessau Drawstring Bag featuring the Visetos monogram. Another design has Tweety holding a blue flower, such as on the Aren Top-Zip Shopper.

The year-long "80 Years Of Tweety" celebrations also include a global mural campaign with 80 works of art gracing buildings in the UK, France, the US, Mexico, Brazil, United Arab Emirates and other countries.

Back in 1942 Tweety rose to fame in A Tale Of Two Kitties, and became one of the most beloved Looney Tunes characters.

Fast forward to 2022, the little birdie ascended to the throne in King Tweety, a full-length animated film released in June.
