Soho House Bangkok to open mid-February

Soho House Bangkok is reported to open its doors mid-February, becoming the first House in Southeast Asia. Located within the quaint colonial-style building of the former Eugenia Hotel, on Sukhumvit 31, the House will have areas for eating and drinking, an event space and a pool terrace.

Members enter the House through the reception area and atrium to find a bright and airy Garden Bar. The Lounge Bar with its darker coloured tones is more for evening gatherings, offering light bites. Both bars open to the Pool Garden area, the centrepiece of Soho House Bangkok, with lush greenery and unique marble chess-style flooring, which extends into a 12-metre pool.

The main dining room, also known as the House Kitchen, occupies the first floor serving Soho House classics, as well as local recipes in a refined setting. There are also two private dining rooms for members off the House Kitchen, which also has terrace seating. Insider's tip: If you look closely, you'll find that the interiors also connect to the pool.

The second floor has an intimate lounge bar, for a pre-event drink before heading to the main events room next door, which has banquette seating and a stage. The "Naughty Room" will host some of the 30+ monthly events curated by the Soho House team, across various creative fields such as music, film, fashion, art and much more. Soho House’s events programme aims to offer members a cultural and creative focal point within the city.

The House interiors are created by Soho House Design, an in-house design team, and is inspired by the city’s rich local crafts. Ample use of silk fabrics, local ceramic works, native wood joinery and Thai architectural details can be found throughout the spaces. Tropical patterns for the interiors and abundant use of local plants around the property create the feeling of a calming sanctuary amid the chaos of the city.

"I have wanted to expand Soho House into Southeast Asia for a long time so this is an exciting moment for me and members everywhere. To have a diverse and inclusive global membership, we need to represent cultures and creative communities from all parts of the world. Bangkok has such a vibrant and progressive energy, full of Thai warmth and kindness, and I can't wait to welcome members from the city into our new House," says founder Nick Jones.

Soho House Bangkok is accessible to members and their guests only. Local House membership grants access to Soho House Bangkok and Every House membership entitles a visit to Soho Houses around the world.
