The fifth phase of the Rao Tiew Duay Kan (We Travel Together) hotel subsidy programme begins this week. With the government responsible for the balance, Thai tourists can book a room for 60% of the regular price and receive a daily 600 baht e-voucher to use at participating shops.

In an effort to further boost domestic travel, Accor -- which has 81 facilities under well-known brands including Sofitel, So, MGallery, Mövenpick, Novotel and ibis -- is providing an additional 15% discount off its best prices, for a total savings of 55%.

This summer, visitors can enjoy everything from sun-drenched beaches in the South to jungle-covered hills in the North, as well as experience the exhilaration of the Eastern Seaboard and Bangkok's bustling streets.

Bookings can be made now to April 27 for stays starting from tomorrow to the end of April, with Accor Plus members eligible for an extra 10% off Accor's ALL programme member rate.

Nature lovers taking advantage of the offer can stay amid the misty mountains surrounding Veranda High Resort Chiang Mai - MGallery, soak up the Tuscan-inspired landscapes at Mövenpick Resort Khao Yai, or experience authentic Isan culture at Pullman Khon Kaen Raja Orchid.

On Thailand's Andaman coast, the sandy shore of Phangnga province is lined with beautiful beachfront retreats, including Grand Mercure Khao Lak Bangsak and Pullman Khao Lak Resort. Phuket island is home to an amazing array of popular family destinations such as Novotel Phuket Resort, ibis Styles Phuket City, Pullman Phuket Arcadia Naithon Beach and Avista Hideaway Phuket Patong MGallery. In the Gulf of Thailand, the idyllic island of Koh Samui provides a choice of upbeat hotels such as Mercure Samui Chaweng Tana and ibis Samui Bophut, while Koh Chang promises more secluded getaways at Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway.

For stylish city breaks, Bangkok has a selection of more than 40 exceptional urban hotels and resorts like SO Bangkok, Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, Grand Mercure Bangkok Asoke Residence and Pullman Bangkok Hotel G.
