To describe Topgolf Megacity as a playground for golfers only is selling it short. The sports and entertainment complex is much more than what the name suggests.
Given its five food and beverage venues, Topgolf is easily a playground for foodies, especially with the introduction of the rebooted Pink Giraffe, which sits atop Topgolf Megacity on the fourth floor. Just follow the pink hooves on the stairs and you'll be greeted by giraffe sculptures glowing in hot pink against the twilight.
Facade-wise, the iconic open-air rooftop bar becomes livelier with colourful murals, new furniture and groovy music. The reboot definitely goes beyond skin deep as the menu, which is created by Topgolf Megacity's Executive Chef and Food Sustainability Manager Daniel Bucher, is filled with mouthwatering Cali-Japanese dishes alongside creative and colourful cocktails to wash them down with. Bucher is an experienced chef in Bangkok's dining scene, having helmed the kitchen of Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park among other noted venues.
Whether you're in the mood to par-tee (golf pun intended) or take it easy, Pink Giraffe got you covered. Gather around sofas and coffee tables with your friends like you're having an intimate party of your own.
Or opt for a dining table for two next to the glass fence if you would like to savour an enchanting dinner with the view of Topgolf's spectacularly lit outfield. Vibe-wise, Pink Giraffe is fun yet casually stylish. A destination for those seeking to unwind, celebrate and enjoy a perfect evening.
The unique fusion of Cali-Japanese bites at Pink Giraffe should pique both your curiosity and appetite. Go big or go home with the Big sashimi platter (B990) which features six types of raw delights namely salmon, tuna, scallop, kampachi, akagai and ikura, plenty for sharing between 2 to 3 people.
Can't have enough of raw delights? Try Tower Of Power (B1,400) which features 16 pieces of Fine de Claire oysters and their classic condiment mignonette. You also can have these bivalve beauties au naturel by piece, starting from B90 per piece or with Japanese twists, being topped with zesty yuzu ponzu (B120) or refreshing tomato miso (B120).
If you like something creamy and addictive, Eggplant cheesy (B180) should do the trick. The miso-baked eggplant is deliciously mushy, almost melting in your mouth, and generously topped with stringy cheese.
If you want a bit of a show with your dish, then order the Gyo bulgogi roll (B390) and have your camera ready to record as it's being sizzlingly prepared on a hot pan at your table. What will pleasantly surprise your palate is the play between piping hot and cold that you get in one bite, along with tasty bulgogi sauce, flaky katsuobushi, flavourful kimchi and succulent wagyu beef.
Save some room for Matcha myagi (B260) to end your meal on a sweet finale. The matcha-scented crepe roll is filled with fluffy cream and topped with sweet red beans. It's served à la mode with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on cookie crumble.
There's plenty more. The other mouthwatering highlights include Temari golf balls, bite-sized ball-shaped sushi with various toppings, Spicy sashimi salad, a fresh salad featuring salmon, tuna, kampachi, greens, and a zesty Thai spicy dressing, Okonomiyaki, a savoury Japanese pizza with ika, unagi, avocado, bonito flakes, and nori seaweed for an umami taste, and last but not least, Chirashi Don, a colourful and filling dish with sushi rice, assorted sashimi, ikura, tamago and cucumber for a delightful mix of textures and flavours.
Don't miss out on a chance to try creative and colourful cocktails that surely will grab attention on your social media. While you have classic concoctions such as Mojito, Bloody Mary and Martini, Pink Giraffe also serves signature cocktails that sound and taste appetising.
Pink Giraffe (B320) contains pink rum and Aperol as the base while rose syrup, lime juice and tonic add a refreshing sweet and sour sensation. Pink Panther (B340) blends a Japanese touch in the form of plum sake alongside other spirits such as gin, Pernod and Malai.
Cha Thai Freshy (B320) definitely has a refreshing tropical charm, thanks to the mix of rum, Thai tea, pineapple and ginger ale.
Pink Giraffe is the place to be in Bangna when you want to cap off a great night at Topgolf, wind down with friends, watch the sunset or hold memorable events. Moreover, it is committed to being a welcoming and inclusive space so while the general vibe is casually elegant you can come as you are as there's no dress code.
Better yet, start off your evening with a friendly competition at one of the 102 hitting bays. Play an Angry Birds game to see who can swing golf balls into the 205-yard outfield with 11 giant targets to destroy virtual structures and score the most. Then cap off the night together with a delicious meal and drinks at Pink Giraffe to complete a memorable get-together with hole-hearted fun (another golf pun intended!).
