Central Hatyai in Songkhla invites everyone to explore the underwater world and learn about sustainable marine conservation during the "Songkhla Aqua Life 2024" which kicks off today and runs until Sept 10, on the 3rd floor.
Hailed as the largest marine exhibition in southern Thailand, this second edition is a collaboration with many marine research centres, as well as the Department of Aquatic Science at Prince of Songkla University, Tinsulanonda Fisheries College, Goldenbetta Station and Ton Nam Aquarium.
To take viewers to experience the charm of various marine creatures, the exhibition is divided into many zones. They will get up close with sea cucumbers, starfish, and horseshoe crabs at the "Touch Pool"; and enjoy adorable tiny sea animals like seahorses, clown fish, blue tangs, and sea turtles at the "Cute Sea Creatures Zone".
This is a chance to witness the world's first golden betta fish bred by a Thai breeder, alongside 20 other breeds at the "Golden Betta" zone; and learn about the intricate ecosystem within glass tanks and discover the joy of creating home aquariums at the "Aquatic Plants" zone.

A highlight, however, is the "Save the Sea ACTperience powered by Epson" zone which will feature "Move, Move, Sort Waste To Help The Sea", an interactive game that illustrates the impact of improper waste disposal on marine life. Also presented at this zone will be in-depth information on marine environmental issues from the Central Pattana Better Futures Project 2024.
Alternatively, learn about Central Pattana's sustainability efforts and contributions from top brands like Levi's, Sabina and Casetify at many exhibitions held under the theme "Create a Better Now". Many interesting green projects will also be introduced at the event.
