Chatrium Hospitality, a leading independent hotel group, has officially launched Chatrium Grand Bangkok, the first property of its "enhanced luxury" collection. Opened on Nov 28, the twin tower offers Thai heritage-inspired five-star hospitality in the heart of Bangkok.
The 582-room and suite hotel on Phetchaburi Road is in the Siam area of Bangkok, just moments from BTS Siam and Siam Paragon. The twin towers boast contemporary interior art and design, a view of the Saen Saeb Canal and convenient access to cultural venues such as Jim Thompson House and the Bangkok Art & Culture Centre.
Owned by City Realty, the real estate arm of the Sophonpanich family, with an investment value of B5.5 billion, Chatrium Grand Bangkok aims to be an iconic urban retreat. Robert Philip Holmes, acclaimed architecture firm, and DWP, locally headquartered global design studio, were commissioned to craft the luxury hotel.
“As the first member of our enhanced luxury collection, this five-star hotel will reflect the highest standards of international hospitality, while also showcasing the authentic elegance of Thai culture through our exquisite interior design and service. As Thailand prepares to enter its first full high season in three years, this is the perfect time to embark on this exciting new era. We look forward to offering a warm welcome to our discerning customers from around the world,” said Savitri Ramyarupa, managing director of Chatrium Hospitality.
In living up to its ethos of "Feel the Remarkable", Chatrium offers luxurious accommodation, exceptional amenities, gastronomy and outstanding events.
Accommodation begins with sizeable 46m² Deluxe Rooms, while two top-tier options include 170m² Three Bedroom Suites and a 321m² Penthouse. All rooms come with large windows with stunning city views, cutting-edge technology and marble bathrooms with oversized, free-standing bathtubs. What makes a stay here grand is the small details such as a L'Or capsule coffee machine, six small jars of Thai snacks, a complimentary mini-bar, complimentary bottles of Nordaq water and Panpuri's toiletries. You'll get all of these aforementioned items even if you stay in the most basic room.
Headboards in each room are adorned with images of lotus, the symbol of Thai grace and beauty, also a nod to the nearby Sa Pathum Palace. One, two and three-bedroom residences provide a home-away-from-home for travellers on extended stays in Bangkok while the Executive Lounge on the 32nd floor is exclusive to guests staying in the premium rooms and suites so they can unwind and enjoy various perks.
There are four food and beverage spots that cater to different occasions. Savour contemporary “East meets West” flavours at Savio, the all-day dining destination with show kitchens or indulge in a fine French-Mediterranean experience with a contemporary twist at Casia on the seventh floor. Flow is a laid-back poolside lounge with a traditional wood-fired oven and the Lobby Lounge is for a social setting over refreshments and light bites.
Chatrium also boasts various function spaces for hosting events of all styles and sizes. The 500m², 10-metre-high, naturally-lit and pillar-free Grand Ballroom can host up to 700 attendees, from corporate conferences and award ceremonies to one-of-a-kind weddings and more.
The sparkling 40m swimming pool with a sala is surrounded by sun loungers, while the fitness centre features the latest Life Fitness equipment and the world-renowned Spa by Thann Wellness Sanctuary is where a wide range of soothing Asian-inspired treatments is on offer. For families, the kids’ club and outdoor playground will keep youngsters engaged and entertained throughout the day.
