EDM festival returns to Pattaya

An electrifying electronic music party is upon us today. The Maya Music Festival 2017 has returned to Maya Space, Horseshoe Point, Pattaya, where a line-up of top DJs will entertain dancers and fans tonight and tomorrow on the beach of the resort town.

The programme is mouth-watering for those into dance beats: Deadmau5, Steve Angello, Madeon, DubVision, Flume, Robin Schulz, Slushii, R3hab, Robert Falcon and Mike Williams.

Maya Music Festival began in 2015 and was held in Bangkok. It played a part in amplifying the popularity of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) in Thailand -- as well as its incorporation of Eastern elements in all the shows -- through international DJs such as DVBBS, Vicetone, Cazzette, and others.

Since 2016, the festival has moved to the beach of Pattaya, featuring two stages, and the Thai theme of Yak (Ogre) and Hunuman.

The line-up this year is a roll call of well-known electronic music maestros. Among the highlights is Deadmau5, a Canadian producer and DJ who's been rocking the world since the late 2000s. Fans will also enjoy the return of Steve Angello, a Greek-Swedish spinner and producer who has played Maya Music Festival before -- and whose progressive house tracks have entertained EDM crowds from Ibiza to Tokyo.
