Official description

The Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health, Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Public Health or Children Hospital, started on June 24, 1954 as a children hospital, being a department of Rajavithi Hospital.

Now, QSNICH provides complete health services to pediatric patients starting from before they were born up to their eighteenth birthday.

QSNICH is the only hospital in Thailand that is dedicated to the treatment of pediatric patients.

QSNICH aims to become the Center of Child Health Care complying to International Standards by the year 2016. Apart from maintaining the quality of their treatments and to develope further technologies to treat diseases, they also focus on services that are friendly to children (Children Friendly Hospital) taking care of the needs of pediatric patients and their families.

To celebrate the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's birthday (80 years old) on August 12th, 2012, the Thai monarch has granted permission to a humbly request by officers of QSNICH to name the building "The Children's Medical Center in Honor of Her Majesty The Queen's 80th Anniversary" as a glorification to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, and to bring fortune to our institute.
