Official description

Students with innovative and sustainable ideas will have a chance to see them transformed into real products during the "Henkel Innovation Challenge 7".

Organised by Henkel, a German industrial and consumer products company, this international competition is open to students of all subjects from 30 countries, especially those in emerging markets such as Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia.

Contestants are required to make a team of two and submit visionary ideas and concepts for new Henkel products and technologies under the concept of "Create. Learn. Grow.".

The main purpose of this year's competition is to develop a visionary product or a new technology for one of the three Henkel business sectors _ beauty care, laundry and home care, and adhesive technologies.

The young contestants will adopt the role of creative, sustainability-aware business development managers. Throughout the competition, Henkel will provide extensive support and each team will be given access to professional e-learning programmes that are also part of Henkel's internal learning management.

All teams that qualify for the semi-final are assigned an experienced Henkel manager, who acts as a mentor, advising the participants on further developing their innovative concepts.

The submission deadline is Dec 11.
