UD Town, a lifestyle shopping mall in Udon Thani province, will present a water-splashing war during the UD Town Wonder Water Land Songkran 2018 festival beginning on Thursday and running until April 16, 11am-midnight.
Held under the "Water Galaxy" theme, the festival will combine Thai ways of having fun and Thai culture with international entertainment. More than 8,000m² of its space is reserved for what is said to be a grand landmark of the Songkran water festival.
Visitors are invited to join to bath replicas of Buddha statues on loan from nine famous temples from across the country before having fun at the foam party that will be strictly alcohol-free.
Situated nearby will be a water tunnel that provides a 360 degree experience, in addition to spectacular lights and sounds just like those found in international music festivals around the world. It is said to be the largest Songkran water tunnel in the northeastern region.
More than 100 food stalls by famous restaurants in Udon Thani will be there to serve a variety of sumptuous street food.
Another highlight is the EDM Concert, which will delight music lovers on all five nights, starting at 6pm. It will feature world-class DJs such as Sick Individuals and Quinino from the Netherlands, Gail from France, Fenner from England, Ivy from Korea, Superone from Laos, and Ouj from Myanmar.
