Those planning to visit Taiwan should not miss this. The "Taiwan One More Time With M Card" fair will take place at the Quartier Gallery, M floor of EmQuartier, Sukhumvit Road, from tomorrow until Sunday, 10am-9pm.
Held under the "Let's Go Travel" concept by The Mall Group, in collaboration with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, the three-day fair is an opportunity to collect all kinds of information on travelling, dining and shopping in Taiwan, and browse through travel packages and programmes that recommend many magnificent yet unseen parts of Taiwan.
At least four cities -- New Taipei, Nantou, Cingjing and Kaohsiung -- will be introduced at the fair. The most populous city in Taiwan, New Taipei City, is reputed for its scenic tourist spots, such as Thousand Island Lake, Jiufen Old Street and Wulai Old Street.
Nantou, in the central region, houses Taiwan's largest freshwater lake, Sun Moon Lake, as well as Cingjing Sheep Farm on the Hehuanshan Mountains, which many call the Switzerland of Taiwan. Hailed as Taiwan's food capital, where traditional dishes originated, Tainan is an old city full of art, culture and temples. Voted one of the five best cities in Asia, Kaohsiung is the largest and most important port city of Taiwan. It is renowned for the Dome of Light, whose colourful stained glass tells the story of four mortal elements: water, earth, light and fire.
Visitors will shop for popular souvenirs and confectionery, including pineapple cakes, Taiwanese nougats and Lu-Miel facial masks, as well as other outstanding merchandise. Activities include a cooking demonstration on local Taiwanese cuisine, a textile-painting workshop, and travel talks with famous bloggers and gurus. This is also a chance to try on traditional qipao dresses, free of charge.
