30% discount is given out to neighbouring country visitors who visit zoos in Khon Kaen and Ubon Ratchathani provinces.
Benjapol Nakprasert, director-general of the Zoological Park, said the discount was available for customers of the Pongsavanh Group of Laos.
Khon Kaen and Ubon Ratchathani zoos were destinations for Lao tourists and the Khon Kaen Zoo alone welcomed about 10,000 Lao people last year, he said.
Jantorn Sitthichai, chairman of Pongsavanh Group's Petroleum Trading Lao, said the discount would interest hundreds of thousands of Pongsavanh customers and the group would also discuss the construction of a zoo in Laos with the Zoological Park of Thailand.
