Three seasons of The Face Thailand offered exhilarating high-drama generated from conflicts between female contestants and mentors, the latter's heated arguments making the talk of the town.

A mainstay of the TV series, Metinee "Lukkade" Kingpayome now opposes fashion designer Polpat "Moo" Asavaprapha and actor Pachara "Peach" Chirathivat, in grooming guys in The Face Men Thailand, which premiered last Saturday on Channel 3.

Though new to the job, Polpat and Pachara bring their dynamic personality to the modelling-themed reality show, and it will be interesting to see how the witty male mentors will handle Metinee -- the show's drama queen.

The popularity of the women's competition drove Kantana to produce the world's first The Face Men, which attracted 500 applicants, of which 40 were screened by auditions.

The selection process involved asking contestants to take off their tops, with winning six-packs getting them through to the next round. Eventually, 18 finalists found slots in the Metinee, Polpat and Pachara teams.

On her Instagram, Metinee asked "Which team are you?" and later posted a picture of her six handsome boys to entice supporters. A diverse bunch, Team Lukkade includes a tanned Surin country boy, a Thai-German hunk and a charming telecommunications engineer, who came all the way from China to pursue The Face Men Thailand title.

The competition will put the three teams through tough modelling challenges and one contestant will be eliminated at the end of each episode.

Viewers, however, don't have to wait for 6pm on Saturdays to follow their favourite contestants, who live together in the Artemis Elite house.

Around-the-clock activities, from waking up and taking personality classes to getting their workouts and jumping in bed, are captured on Line TV's Artemis Elite programme, which allows followers to get to know more about the gorgeous guys.

The Face Men airs on Saturdays at 6.20pm on Channel 3.
