All I want for Christmas are these

Stumped on what to give this Christmas? We gotchu fam

SOCIAL & LIFESTYLE

'Tis the season to be giving, and for those of us who actually put some thought and effort into the gifts we give, it can be a little daunting. Will the person like it? Will they even use it? Is it affordable and within our budget? Will Santa bump us to the top of the "nice" column on his list? The last one is a joke because we all just want to give for the sake of giving... right? Anyway, here are four items that might just send someone jumping for joy when you give it to them as a present. We are not responsible for the awkward hugs and kisses you're bound to receive.

In terms of sound quality, there's absolutely nothing to complain about as it gives you high-quality listening pleasure which is to be expected of a Sennheiser product. SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE FAN EDITION

With the vast array of smartphones to choose from nowadays, it gets pretty overwhelming. If you're in the market for something a little more affordable than the recent releases, the Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition is something you can opt for. The important thing they want everyone to know is this: there's a safer battery in this phone i.e. it won't explode like its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 7. With that out of the way, it's light, sleek and water-resistant with a powerful processor and a great camera to boot. It comes in two colours: onyx black and coral blue. Definitely a more affordable alternative to the recently released smartphones.

B20,900. Available at all Samsung retailers nationwide and online at http://s-estore.com.

XIAOMI MI MIX 2

Staying with smartphones, if you're planning to buy a gift for a type of person that doesn't want to be too mainstream and defy the norm, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is the smartphone for them. Much cheaper than recent releases, it definitely holds its ground against smartphone giants like Samsung and Apple in terms of performance. Its biggest selling point, however, is its 18:9 aspect ration full-screen display. And when it says full-screen, it does mean full-screen. Unlike the recent iPhone X which still has that notch on the top, the screen of the Mi MIX 2 pretty much fills up the entire phone. The only downside of the device may perhaps be the camera which isn't as crisp as we wanted it to be, and it's also awkward taking selfies since you have to turn the phone upside down so that you're correctly looking at the camera. Other than that however, its ceramic finish gives it a stylish look, the way it's used is pretty much like any other Android phone, and it's a shining testament to the fact that there are great choices for phones aside from Samsung and Apple.

B17,990. Available at authorised Mi Stores at Imperial World Samrong and Seacon Bangkae, official partners Jaymart and IT City, and online retailer Lazada.
