Bangkok’s Thai night market returns to salathip

Salathip, enchanting riverside Thai restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok invites diners to experience an exotic night market once again every last Thursday of the month and indulge in authentic Thai cuisine for Baht 1,888++ per person from 06-10.30pm, and shop for local products every last Thursday of the month until 26 April 2018.

Relax in a colourful night market atmosphere by the Chao Phraya River, with classical Thai dance performances from 7.45 to 10.30pm. Take your palate on a voyage of Thai culinary discovery prepared à la minute at live-cooking stations.

Selections include Chicken Satay and Pork Neck served with Peanut Sauce and Chilli Sauce, Papaya Salad and Steamed Sticky Rice, Spicy and Sour Seafood Soup with Lemongrass and popular Thai desserts, such as Coconut Ice Cream with condiments, Mango and Sticky Rice, and Crispy Banana with Rice Flour. Three main courses options are served at the table:

Cha Plu Set (Green Curry Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Betel Leave, Crispy Sea Bass topped with Sweet Sour Chili Sauce and mixed vegetables, and Thai Fried-rice with Lemongrass).

Prik Thai Dum Set (Massaman Wagyu Beef Cheek Curry with Sweet Purple Potato, Deep-fried Tiger Prawn with Black Pepper Sauce and Fried Onion, and Roti and steamed Thai brown rice).

Phong Karee Set (Grilled Marinated Chicken Free Range Southern-style and pickled vegetables, Stir-fried Baby Lobster with Yellow Curry sauce and Onion, and Khao Phad Kratieam).

After dinner, shop for local produce at stalls showcasing local woven fabrics, bags and dolls, traditional accessories, homemade soap and shampoo, organic spa products, wood carvings and many more in the restaurant area.
