After last season's standout peepers, energising lips take over in Three Cosmetics' spring 2018 look.

Global creative director Rie Omoto believes in how colours can enhance vitality and how simply wearing lipstick can make women feel good and recharged to face daily challenges.
The New York-based Omoto draws inspiration from Ayurvedic chakra, or the body's energy centres, in fashioning seven shades of Lyrical Lip Bloom, a new product under Song Of Ascendance collection for spring/summer 2018.
She practises yoga daily, which helps balance the major chakras and promote flow of vital force in the body called prana. The energy powerhouses keep one physically, emotionally and spiritually healthy according to the ancient Indian practice of Ayurveda.
The seven chakras positioned from the base of the spine to the crown of the head each have a corresponding colour.
For example, red symbolising an awakening of consciousness is the colour of the root, or muladhara chakra, lending stability and security, located at the base of the spine. Indigo represents the third eye, or ajna chakra, the centre of intuition, positioned on the forehead between the brows.
Omoto's reinterpretation of the chakra colours varies from a pink beige and milky coral to apple-red and intense ruby with a deep indigo undertone.
Along with the expressive shades, Lip Bloom offers a raw matte texture and a smooth, silky finish due to transparent spherical powder in the formulation. A Lip Film has also been created by Three Cosmetics, to subtly press on the lips for an enhanced raw matte effect.
For those preferring a lustrous pout, the Japanese make-up artist suggests layering the Lip Bloom with a sweep of the shimmery Epic Mini Dash in two new coral and rosy shades that can also be popped on cheeks.
The new make-up collection also includes Whisper Gloss For Eye, whose misty and warm shades dabbed on eyelids give a balanced and uplifting spring look.
