Editorial Reviews

The "Mayday! Charity Event" is back for the fourth year to raise funds to support wounded soldiers and families of those killed in the deep South. It will take place at K Village on Sukhumvit Soi 26 on May 18 from 3pm to 10pm.

Held under the theme "One Love", this year's event will upgrade its traditional flea market/garage sale into a "reunion bazaar" where groups of school and university alumni will meet and sell products together.

Most of the items are second-hand and include clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, books and toys. There will also be art and crafts products, games, and a lucky dip booth which offers prizes such as restaurant vouchers, hotel accommodation and flights.

The fourth ‘Mayday! Charity Event’ will feature a bazaar and concert at K Village on May 18 from 3pm to 10pm.

This is also a chance to rub shoulders with celebrities who will sell their belongings and sing songs for the cause. Another highlight of the day is a busking concert which will see well-known and upcoming artists take turns to perform throughout the day. The concert will open with reggae music played through a solar-powered sound system by Jah Pete from England.

The event is organised by the non-profit organisation Mayday! in collaboration with several network groups.

Its three previous events raised more than 200,000 baht each, with the money going to charities.
