Official description

If you can still remember your first love, you must be able to recall every detail about your first favourite car, too. This is the idea behind the upcoming vintage car show, which opens on Thursday and runs until Sunday at Future Park.

Organised annually by the Vintage Car Club of Thailand, this year's Vintage Car Concours 2013 runs under the theme "First Car, First Love", which aims to remind collectors of the memories of their first favourite vintage car.

The fair will be set in a European atmosphere in line with the era of the vehicles on show. There will be more than 100 vintage and classic cars, collectively worth more than 400 million baht. Each of them has also met the standards of the Federation Internationale des Vehicules Anciens.

This year's highlight will be an Austin 7 Tourer, affectionately called "Pram" for its small size and pram-like body. Produced from 1929 to 1939 and equipped with benzene-fuelled, 747CC four-stroke engines, producing 10.5hp, this model was popular in the British army back then.

Contact the Vintage Car Club of Thailand on 02-641-8444 ext 507 or 02-530-3218 ext 13 or 16.
