Official description

Set your imagination to “active” and take it for an exercise course when you witness a show filled with Asia’s leading mime artists! Celebrating 15 years of Pantomime in Bangkok, which dates back to 1997 for their first show, the show brings mimics from all over Asia, including Japan, Korea and Thailand as they create impressions and portray characters with just the use of exaggerated gestures to the accompaniment of music. Laugh out loud to the performances of the sweet and fat Guri Guri Girl, mime duo Ayukoji, experienced street style mime artist Yamamoto Koyo, Yano Kazuki and his obsession with Thai culture, female mime artist Inagaki Kahoru, manga-style mime duo Pantomanga, Korean new wave mime artist Empty Hands and Thai trio Babymime.

Editorial Reviews

What's the collective noun for pantomime artists? Whether it's a bunch or a pocketful, a large number of them from Japan, South Korea and Thailand will be in Bangkok on Thursday.

Presented by Get Live Management and Zense Entertainment, the 14th Pantomime in Bangkok will be staged in the auditorium of Muang Thai Life Assurance on Ratchadaphisek Road. There are five performances: on Thursday at 8pm and on Saturday and Sunday at 2pm and 7.30pm.

This year's performance will feature a number of Asia's leading panto performers, including Guri Guri Girls from Japan, Kanikama, a duo comprising Kojimaya Mansuke and Honda Aiya, and the Thai trio Babymime.

Set to perform solo will be Yamada Toushi from Japan, Ko Jae-kyong from South Korea, and Thailand-based Japanese veteran mime Kazuki Yano.

Japan's trio Cru Cru Cirque, which has taken pantomime to new levels by fusing dance and acrobatic skills, makes its Bangkok debut.

Tickets cost 800, 1,000 and 1,200 baht and can be purchased from Thai Ticket Major booths. Call 02-262-3456 or visit
