For more than 50 years, Pornpimol Kanthatham of Pornpimol-Sophatai Dance Studio has staged charity ballet performances, which have in turn produced a number of well-known figures in the local ballet circle.

On Aug 4, the studio will present another heart-warming production titled Peter Pan & The Jewels at NIST International School on Sukhumvit Soi 15. There will be two performances, at 2pm and 5pm.

The show is expected to delight both adults and children alike. Leading the cast are promising students such as Puangpaka Aksornsawang as Peter Pan, Jilmika Leewibulsil as Tinker Bell, Nudda Bunnag as Captain Hook and Jinnipa Kulpaibul as Wendy.

Seasoned dancer/singer Natthida Wongprom will take the role of Crocodile Tick-Tock. In the second part of the performance, The Jewels, the school's promising students will shine in dance numbers including Diamond, Emerald, Ruby and Blue Sapphire.

A Mathayom 3 student at Wattana Wittaya Academy, Geneve exhibits a rare capability beyond her years. Currently at Advanced Foundation level, she joined the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy Summer School in Australia in 2009, and has just returned from the San Francisco Ballet Schools' Summer Intensive Program.

Additionally, Geneve has participated in a workshop with Bertrand Berena from Paris Opera Ballet School. A true diamond in the making.

Two other jewels are Meuanphun Ampunsang and Ruangyut Srakaew from Bangkok City Ballet. Both of them are highly respected in dance circles in Thailand and abroad. Meuanphun also teaches at her own school, Point Studio, as well as Pornpimol-Sophatai Studio.
