Official description

More than 50 confectionary shops will be represented at Future Park later this week to offer a smorgasbord of sweet treats under the same roof.

Opening on Friday and scheduled to continue until Sept 8, the "Sweet Mania 2013: Sweets on a Stick" fair should please anyone with a sweet tooth since the range of goodies on offer will include everything from cakes, biscuits and and other baked treats to chocolate and ice cream.

And, as suggested by that subtitle, most of the offerings will be served on lollipop sticks. Participating shops will include Pancake Cafe, Cafe de Tu, Lenotre, Coffee Beans by Dao, Little Home, Bake a Wish, Madame Marco, Precious and Pride, Hokkaido Milk, Daifuku Story, Larna House by Kalpapruek, Sfree, Mont Blanc Sweet Cafe, Sweetie Emmie, Secret Garden, Cookie Crust, Le Sante and Chan Kanom Wan.

Pop Me Up will be selling chocolate-dipped balls of cake on a stick. Visage presents its famous mixed berries and white-chocolate mousse recipe, while NYCC (New York Cheese Cake) is promising the genuine article topped with strawberry sauce.

Visitors should also look out for a bird-house sculpture made from various kinds of sweets called "Lollipop Giving Love". It was created by Thananya Wilkinson, aka chef Kai, winner of the desserts category in Iron Chef Thailand. It will be set up against the backdrop of a flower garden decorated in French and English styles. Bossa nova music will be played to add to the ambience of the fair.
