Official description

Thai university students with a good command of the English language are being offered a chance to practise overseas.

Singha Corporation and British Council are asking university students nationwide to participate in the Singha English Challenge and win a study trip to Singapore and 100,000 baht in cash.

The students can form a team of four to compete in the competition, which will test their knowledge on the Asean community.

They will have a chance to improve their English through exciting activities and sharpen their knowledge about the region from history,
culture, economy and politics.

The winning team, together with their coach, will be awarded 100,000 baht in cash and a trip to Singapore. In total, the campaign will award
more than 600,000 baht to the finalists.

The British Council will design the tests and contribute its expertise in English skills development to ensure every student will get the best out of the challenge.

Piti Bhirombhakdi, Singha’s global marketing director, said young generations are its primary focus and this is the first year of the Singha English Challenge.

The campaign will select the best 24 teams before year-end. Four roadshows are planned to promote it in Songkhla, Chiang Mai, Khon
Kaen and Bangkok.

Application forms can be downloaded at www.singhachallenge.com.Or call 080-062-1212.
