D&M Music Studio presents a piano recital by accomplished pianist Katarzyna Wieczorek from Germany at Goethe Institute on March 15 at 8pm.

This is the first time she will perform in Bangkok and the programme will feature Chopin’s Four Mazurkas Op 17, Etudes No. 8, Op 10 and No. 12, Op 10 — Revolutionary, Nocturne in C-Sharp Minor Op Posthume and Scherzo In B-Minor; Mozart’s Rondo In D-Major; Rachmaninoff’s First Movement from the Second Piano Sonata; and Gershwin’s Rhapsody In Blue.

Wieczorek studied with Prof Matti Raekallio (of the Juilliard School in New York) at the University of Music and Drama in Hanover where she graduated with honours.

She has won many national and international competitions and participated in numerous masterclasses. As a pianist she has performed at festivals and concerts in Europe, the US, Asia and Antarctica. She is also the official accompanist for many international competitions including the ARD Wettbewerb Muenchen, Aeolus Wettbewerb Dusseldorf, Buenos Aires International Violin Competition and Jeju Festival in South Korea.
