Four young talented musicians are joining forces in a chamber concert held to raise funds for the Gift of Life Foundation at Sala Sudasiri Sobha on July 23.

Two gifted string players from Mannes College. The New School for Music in New York  — Yada Lee and Zexun Shen — will play violin and cello, respectively, with a piano accompaniment by Pinnaree Yontararak and Kant Lormsomboon.

The programme, which will start at 7.30pm, will feature Mozart’s Violin Sonata In E-Minor, Ravel’s Violin Sonata In G-Major, and Dvorak’s Piano Trio No. 4 In E-Minor (Dumky Trio).

A Thai native, Yada is a passionate orchestral and chamber musician who has given recitals in Germany, South Korea, the US and at major concert venues across Asia.

She has been a member of the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra since 2008, and has served as concertmaster and principal violinist for Oberlin Orchestra and Mannes Orchestra.

The award-winning Zexun from Shanghai has performed extensively in the US, China, Australia and Poland as a soloist and chamber musician. He plays on an 1889 Giovanni Dollenz cello made in Triesta, Italy with a Joseph Henry bow.

Pinnaree, the youngest daughter of Steinway Artist Nat Yontararak, was a music student at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris and College Mozart in France. She also gave shared recitals with her musician sister, Paranee, on many occasions to also raise funds for needy blood patients for the Gift of Life Foundation.

Kant, meanwhile, is a prizewinner and a finalist in many competitions in Thailand. He is a member of Siam Sinfonietta and Siam Philharmonic Orchestra as an orchestral keyboard since 2012. He also works with Opera Siam Company as their rehearsal pianist, as well as working as an accompanist for many young musician friends.
