Wishing to take a trip to the Land of the Rising Sun? Well, mark your calendar and see what you can learn from the popular Japanese travel fair, which will return to CentralPlaza Grand Rama IX next week.

Organised by the Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO), the “Visit Japan F.I.T. Travel Fair-Summer 2014” presents many activities designed for those interested in spending their vacation on the island nation.

Running from July 24-27, the four-day fair gathers 26 booths featuring products and services from local and Japanese tour agencies, hotels and airlines. Expect to see special prices and offers on travel packages, air tickets and the famous Japan Rail Passes, which can be used for unlimited train travel on all JR lines.

Visitors will get useful free information and advice from representatives of JNTO and others free of charge. Interpreters will be on hand to help out.

There will be a daily performance by a Japanese band playing instruments from the country, and Thai artists will also perform mini concerts and share their Japan travel experiences.

Bossa nova princess Lula will perform on July 24 at 6.30pm, writer New Klom will give a talk on July 25 at 6pm, pop trio La Ong Fong will perform on July 26 at 4pm and Tol AF 4 will perform on July 27 at 3pm.

For fans of Hello Kitty, the popular character will be flown in from Japan’s Sanrio Puroland theme park to provide entertainment on July 26-27.
