Official description

A talk show-cum-concert called “Thais … Be Happy” will be held at the Thailand Cultural Centre on Saturday at 2pm, as part of the ongoing “return happiness” project.

The event is a collaboration between Charatpong Suratsawadee, widely known as Sumo Tu, and pianist virtuoso Nat Yontararak, who were classmates at the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University in 1972.

After graduating, they both went their separate ways. While Sumo Tu became involved in the entertainment business as an actor, scriptwriter and news anchor, Nat became a professional musician and one of the country’s most outstanding contemporary artists and recipient of the Silpathorn Award.

This will be the first time they have joined forces for an afternoon of fun and relaxing music with Sumo Tu on the guitar and Nat on the piano.

The concert will also feature Nat’s wife Pawongduen Yontararak, a former actress known as Wongduen Indravudh and their two daughters, Paranee and Pinnaree who will play the piano and harp.

Tickets cost 1,500 baht and can be purchased from Thai Ticket Major (visit or call 02-262-3456). Part of the proceeds will go to the Thai Animal Guardians Association.
