La Compagnie Pyramid, a French dance company, will stage Ballet Bar: A Passion For Dance, at Alliance Francaise, on Dec 4 at 7.30pm.
The performance features six dancers who will be moving to music of various styles, including tango and electro, with acrobatics, circus and mime. The show takes place around a bar in a fictional, lively jazz club.
Ballet Bar premiered at Festival d’Avignon, a French performing arts festival, in 2013. It was selected to represent France during the 2013 Francophonie Games, and won first prize at the 2013 International Theater Festival in Erbil, Iraq.
It was also selected to represent France at the 2014 Fadjr International Theatre Festival in Tehran, Iran.
Tickets cost 450 baht (300 baht for students and members). Alliance Francaise is on Witthayu Road. Email warittha.kraiwee@afthailande.org or call 02-670-4222.
