Official description

Lumpini Park of Bangkok will become centre stage for a barrage of live performances with the much-anticipated return of the “Bangkok Street Show”, from Friday until Sunday.

Organised by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in collaboration with Zense Entertainment and Get Live Management, the fifth edition of the festival will run for three days instead of the usual two.

Forty groups from 18 countries are set to present street performance-type shows, including mime, clowning, juggling, magic, acrobatics, balloon twisting, contortions, fire eating and sword swallowing.

American Adam Saaks, also known as “Adam Scissor Hands” will arm himself with scissors to create a jaw-dropping original T-shirt design.

Saurus, a costumed stilt-walking performance group from the Netherlands, will bring giant prehistoric beasts back to life, while Japanese juggler Satoshi will excite audiences with his crystal ball-juggling show.

There will also be human pyramids, ring jumping, and African dance and limbo dance by a troupe from Kenya and Senegal. Karcocha, a clown from Chile, will also perform.

Thai pantomime group Babymime will focus on topics close to our minds but often overlooked.

The Bangkok Street Show will run each day, from 3pm to 9pm. Lumpini Park is on Rama IV Road, near Sala Daeng MRT station. There is no admission fee.
