Official description

B-Floor Theatre is bringing back Bang La Merd, a solo performance by performer and director Ornanong Thaisriwong, at Thong Lor Art Space on Sukhumvit Soi 55. It will be staged daily, from Jan 22 until Feb 9 (except Tuesdays and Wednesdays), at 8pm.

Premiered in 2012, Bang La Merd is a small-scale performance with a large subject matter, addressing freedom of expression.

It presents a social issue close to home, challenging the audience to participate and freely engage.

It was loved for its variety of flavours and honoured with the Best Original Script award by the International Association of Theatre Critics Thailand.

The show was created Ornanong, a core member of B-Floor Theatre. Among several awards that she has garnered are Best Actor from Bangkok Theatre Festival 2009, and Best Actor from the 18th Short Film Festival, for her role in Madam Anna, Nipples, Macaron, Ponyangkam, And Basic Education (2014).

The upcoming show, however, has been developed from its original version in terms of both content and form to be in line with current societal situations.

-  Tickets cost 500 baht.
-  Call 095-542-4555 or 095-924-4555.   Visit B-Floor Theatre’s Facebook page.
