More than 60 vintage cars will take visitors back in time to witness the world’s early automobiles during the 30th “Glossy Heritage Awards” which is running at Future Park from today until Sunday.
Organised under the concept of “The Stylish Century: From Horseless Carriages To Automobiles” by the Vintage Car Club of Thailand, the event features the earliest of the world’s motorised vehicles that were developed from horse-drawn carts.
All displayed cars are certified by the Federation Internationale Vehicules Anciens (FIVA). Among the highlights is a 1904 Black High Wheeler, America’s first horseless carriage which comes with 75-inch wheelbase and 18 horsepower. Only 18 carts of this convertible model were manufactured and 13 of them are still in good condition and have become in high demand among classic car collectors.
Another highlight is the 1939 MG TB designed for sports drives with up to 86mph. This model was produced for only one year, with a total of 379 vehicles available. Also on display are classic cars from famous TV dramas such as the 3 Armstrong and MG VA from Nueng Nai Suang and the Humber from Phuen Phaeng, as well as the Ford Model A, Austin Seven and many more.
