Official description

Seacon Square will transform its Fountain Court on the first floor into a land of spooky spirits for their “Thai Ghosts Party: Everyone Screams And Laughs!” fair, which kicks off tomorrow and runs until Oct 25.

Held ahead of the Halloween season, the party-turned-fair will gather both well-known classic Thai ghosts such as Mae Nak, Nang Ram, Tani, Kumara the Child Ghost, Pob, Kra-sue and Kra-hang; and contemporary ghosts from horror films and soaps like student ghosts, Than Khun, Look Thep, Yommaban the Guardian of Hell and twin ghosts.

Many will be lurking around the replicas of Than Khun’s house, an old wooden house and thatch hut in a deserted village atmosphere to make a number of scary surprise appearances.

The highlight is sure to be a haunted house with a scary path that leads visitors to take selfies with the extraordinary 5m tall Mae Nak and her giant cauldron.

Set in a temple fair ambience, the event also features exciting games and an exhibition recounting the stories of Thai ghosts and showcasing photographs of spirits said to be captured on lens from around the country.

Available for sale will be spooky clothes, toys and accessories; charms; and ghost memorabilia. Famous fortune-tellers will give their services and visitors are invited to donate money for the purchase of coffins with the Poh Tech Tung Foundation.

Seacon Square is on Srinakarin Road.
Call 02-721-8888.
