Official description

An original Wudang Quan acrobatic show, and a range of Chinese kites and paper-cutting creations from China will be presented during the “Sweetest Moment Of Chinese New Year” event at Future Park and Zpell shopping complex, Phahon Yothin Road, from Friday to Feb 14.

This is the first time Thai audiences will get to witness 16 breathtaking acts by the Xishui Acrobatic Troupe from Hubei province, China. It will be staged at the Alive Park Hall, daily at 7pm. Highlights include “The Power Of Wudang Quan Mount”, which is hailed as the world’s greatest acrobatic show featuring performers balancing on a unicycle on a tightrope; and “The Great And Mighty Girl”, which includes a troupe of females doing acrobatics, plate-spinning and lots of other interesting feats.

On exhibit at the Zpotlight on the ground floor will be more than 100 paper-cutting and Chinese kite art pieces from Shandong province, aka City of Kites. On Unesco's cultural heritage list, Chinese paper-cutting is the art of using paper cut-outs to decorate doors, windows, shelves and ceilings.

Among the highlighted pieces of Chinese kite creations on display will be the 20m-long dragon-headed centipede kite, and those in the shapes of a butterfly, eagle, gold fish and peacock.

There is no admission fee.
