Official description

The much-anticipated “Thai Red Cross Fair” returns with more than 200 booths and activities at Amporn Garden and the Royal Plaza until April 7.

Public and private organisations, educational institutes, state enterprises, foundations, companies and shops will present a variety of products at discounted prices. Seventy-six Provincial Red Cross Chapters will bring along their local products; Thai Red Cross Society will offer souvenirs; and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital will sell household medicines.

Outstanding activities include an exhibition on HM the Queen’s dedication to the wellness of Thai people; a booth-decorating competition; a healthy children contest; a healthy senior contest; and the Ms and Mr Red Cross Youth Ambassador contest. Red Cross raffles are also available and visitors are invited to donate blood, and register to become eye, organ and body donors at the fair.

HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will preside over the opening ceremony today at 5pm and will stay to watch “Ratchakarun”, a light and sound show held to celebrate HM the Queen’s 84th birthday, at 6pm. The one-time-only show will also feature a parade of floats decorated by 12 organisations.
