Three Michelin-starred chef Jean-Michel Lorain will be in residence at J'aime by Jean-Michel Lorain, his signature restaurant at U Sathorn Bangkok, from June 2-4 to present "From Farm to Table", his exclusive gourmet dinner menu made with produce from the Royal Project Foundation.

"I am truly delighted to once again return to Bangkok to welcome all the wonderful diners to J'aime by Jean-Michel Lorain. It's a real privilege to witness how Bangkok has welcomed us into their hearts," said chef Lorain.

"This occasion is especially memorable as the special menu we will be serving includes fresh produce from HM the King's Royal Project Foundation, which means from the farm to your table the ingredients are among the finest available. We are delighted to be able to support the local farmers with the restaurant's head chef Amerigo sourcing the country for only the very best suppliers and after visiting the Royal Project farm in Chiang Mai we intend to introduce their delectable goods as a permanent part of J'aime's menu. Bon appétit!"

Lorain's "From Farm to Table" eight-course gourmet menu features clam fish soup with garlic and saffron emulsion; crunchy pumpkin and mushroom Napoleon; duck foie gras served with jasmine gelée, Amaretto-scented red fruits jam and goji berry brioche toast; a medley of frog legs and veal sweetbread, red cabbage gazpacho and eggplant chutney; crayfish salad, tarragon rouille and sparkling wine spume; snails in a free interpretation of tomato mozzarella; roasted pigeon breast served with polenta, green asparagus and tonka flavour; and mango and pineapple skewer, chilli granité and lime scented fromage blanc. A great selection of fine wines from France is also available to complement the dinner menu.

Assisting Lorain during this three-day promotion is Amerigo Tito Sesti, the restaurant's head chef. Originally from Italy's Bergamo, Amerigo developed a passion for the culinary world at an early age. He graduated in tourism and gastronomy from the Lycée d'Hotellerie de Gascogne, Talence, in 2006 and the prestigious catering school of San Pellegrino, Terme, in 2007 where he developed his technical training for professional kitchens and started his career at exclusive restaurants and five-star hotels such as the Michelin-starred La Brughiera in Italy and Bocconi in the Amigo Hotel, Brussels.

Over the years, he has worked under many influential leaders of the French culinary profession who helped shape his style and depth of knowledge. After moving to Britain, he was appointed chef cook for Alain Roux, celebrated chef and owner of the Waterside Inn Berkshire on Thames, the soul of French gastronomy in the UK for more than 40 years. He had the chance to hone his skills under the exacting supervision and attention to detail of a true master and mentor to many, head chef Fabrice Uhryn. Prior to his current position as head chef at J'aime by Jean-Michel Lorain in U Sathorn Bangkok, he worked with Jean-Michel at the renowned Michelin-star Côte Saint Jacques in Burgundy, France.

The "From Farm to Table" dinner menu is available at J'aime by Jean-Michel Lorain restaurant at U Sathorn Bangkok, from June 2-4. The price is 4,499 baht net per person, excluding beverages.
