Legendary rockers Queen to play Bangkok for first time ever

UK’s Queen, one of the world’s best-loved rock bands, will join hands with American singer Adam Lambert to give their first-ever concert in Bangkok at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, on Sept 30.

Presented by AEG Live and BEC-Tero Entertainment, the “Queen+Adam Lambert On Tour In Bangkok” concert will serve as the finale of the Asia leg of their Summer Festival Tour, which also includes shows in such locales asSingapore, Japan, China and Hong Kong.

Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor first shared the stage with Adam for the finale of the eighth season of American Idol in 2009, where Adam finished as runner-up.

Since then, Queen+Adam Lambert has become a successful partnership, having performed over 70 sold-out shows in every part of the world.

They performed their first live concerts with sold-out shows across Europe in 2012, and two years later toured North America with all 24 dates sold out almost overnight. Last year they were back to perform 26 sold-out concerts in 10 countries throughout Europe.

Their 2016 touring show, which includes 15 performances in Europe from May to June and seven shows in Asia this September, features current cutting-edge technology, design, innovation, lighting and special effects by those behind some of the most iconic shows on the planet.

Queen’s career has spanned four decades, forever immortalised in such hits as We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, Don’t Stop Me Now, Somebody To Love and Bohemian Rhapsody, not to mention their names on seven Ivor Novellos, songs in the Grammy Hall of Fame, an MTV Global Icon award, and many more.

After making it big on American Idol, Lambert quickly released three solo albums. All of them debuted in the top three of the Billboard charts, selling over 2.5 million copies.

Tickets cost 2,000 to 8,000 baht and can be purchased from Thai Ticket Major outlets from tomorrow at 10am.
