King remains 'Forever in Thai Hearts'

A hundred photos depicting Thai people's sense of deepest respect and appreciation to His Majesty King Bhumibol are displayed during the "Forever In Thai Hearts" exhibition at the Lifestyle Hall, second floor Siam Paragon, Rama I Road, until Nov 30.

The photos are selected from the Ministry of Culture's collection of more than 30,000 images and video clips that show mourners from near and far travelling to pay respects before the royal remains as well as leave messages of condolences and heartfelt gratitude.

They were submitted to the ministry by members of the public, various organisations and media following the government's project to make a memorial book called The People's Archives, and a documentary titled Forever In Thai Hearts, with the aim to preserve and publish Thailand's historical moments related to the passing of the highly revered King.

The exhibition is an opportunity for Thais and foreigners to witness these historical moments as it narrates the story of a deep mutual bond between the longest-serving monarch and his people through images and films portraying his lifelong works and devotion for the happiness of Thai people.

Visitors are also invited to make a vow to "do good deeds" and "follow the King's teaching". Their vow-making will be recorded and the video clips will be eligible to be included in The People's Archives memorial books. Portraits of the King will be given to every visitor.
