The 14th "World Film Festival Of Bangkok" will present 72 movies featuring a wealth of cultures and perspectives from filmmakers from around the world at SF World Cinema of CentralWorld, Ratchadamri Road, from Jan 24-Feb 1.

Held under the theme "Travelling Through Films", the festival will feature 25 movies from North America and Europe with the highlight on Elle, a French thriller that recently won the Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Actress in a Motion Picture-Drama (Isabelle Huppert).

The cultural diversity of the Asian region will be presented through a selection of 13 contemporary Asian films such as The Black Hen from Nepal, Diamond Island from Cambodia, Thithi from India, Present Perfect from Thailand and Barakah Meets Barakah, the first film from Saudi Arabia to be screened at an international film festival.

Besides film screenings, the festival presents the "Rendez-vous de l'Animation third Edition" workshop designed for Thai animators on Jan 24-25 and 27-29 from 10am-5.30pm.
