On Feb 18, BangkokEdge, the capital’s first ideas festival, will be held from 1-9pm at Chakrabongse Villas near Tian Pier and Wat Pho in Phra Nakhon.

Participants will experience informative and inspiring talks on the history and culture of neighbouring countries by experts like Subhatra Bhumiprabhas, Dr Lalita Hanwong, Somrit Luechai, Thant Myint-U, Emma Larkin, Thweep Rittinaphakorn and Sudhisak Palpho.

Books published by River Books and Matichon will be available at special prices. So will textiles and silver jewellery. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the Chao Phraya River and chill on Chakrabongse Villas’ grounds amidst the food and drink stalls.

This event is in its second year, with the aim of encouraging visitors to unleash their creativity, exchange ideas and learn new things on the weekend of Valentine’s Day.

Tickets to all talks are priced at 400 baht.
