Sawasdee Woodwind Quintet will be back to Sala Sudasiri Sobha concert hall for a chamber recital titled "Sawasdee Chinoiserie" this Sunday at 4pm.

The second half of the programme will feature a medley of the late King Bhumibol's royal compositions and Vanich Potavanich's beautiful light-hearted Malai. They are arranged for woodwind quintet by Komsun Dilokkunanant, member of Sawasdee Woodwind Quintet.

The woodwind chamber group comprises well-respected musicians who perform professionally while teaching at music schools and universities in Thailand. They are Kalaya Phongsathorn (flute), Somchai Tongboon (Oboe), Teerapong Submool (clarinet), Kittima Molee (bassoon), Komsun Dilokkunanat (French horn). They are accompanied on the piano by Sumida Ansvananda.

The concert will also see an exhibition of five paintings by great artists who drew their inspiration from Nat Yontararak's arrangements of King Bhumibol's compositions and his elegy dedicated to the late monarch, Sine Quo Non (Without Whom Cannot Exist).

Created by Rearngsak Boonyavanishkul, Yotaka Jullobol, Chatchawan Rodklongtan, Kritsana Chaikitwattana and Sudaporn Teja, the paintings will be showed on stage as part of the concert and then will be on display at the concert hall till the end of this month. They are also available for private auction and the bidding will close on June 25.

Sala Sudasiri Sobha is on Lat Phrao 41. Tickets cost 700 baht and proceeds will go towards the Gift of Life Foundation to help blood-disease patients in Thailand.
