Official description

A collection of exquisite arts and crafts by hill tribe people will be showcased during "Crafts From The Hands Of The Hills … To The Hands Of The Queen: 70 Years, Framed Reflections" at the Event Hall, 3rd floor of Central Chidlom, Phloenchit Road, from Thursday to Aug 16.

Held in remembrance of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and to mark HM Queen Sirikit's 85th birthday, the exhibition features 40 hill tribe textile handicrafts that reflect Their Majesties' generosity and contribution to the well-being of hill tribe people in Thailand. A highlighted creation is "Father's Diaries", made from hill tribe textiles decorated with silk embroidery in the motif of a roll of film that portrays the late monarch's hard work throughout the seven decades of his reign.

Displayed alongside will be one of the Queen's working desks and her handwritten notes that showed her deep care for the Thai people.
