Official description

Myriad research works by local talent will be showcased during the "Thailand Research Expo 2017" at Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld, Ratchadamri Road, from this Wednesday to Sunday, 8am-6pm.

Organised under the "Research For Developing The Country To Stability, Prosperity and Sustainability" theme by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), the 12th edition of the expo will feature 1,000 research inventions in seven fields — security, agriculture, industry, society, medicine and public health, energy, and natural resources and the environment. Many of the inventions won national and international awards and will be presented in various formats.

Among this year's highlights are LeO-Trap, an innovative mosquito guard said to help get rid of mosquitoes and protect people from dengue fever; a healthy and ready-to-drink jelly drink made from mulberry and namdokmai mango, and kleep bua fabrics developed from the traditional kab bua silk of Ubon Ratchathani province and whose texture offers a feeling of lotus petals.
